The Great 2014 Grammy Nominations

The live Grammy Nominations Concert took over the Nokia Theatre in LA. The annual event combines performances with the fascinating announcement of the 2014 Grammy nominees, which this upcoming year include Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Lorde, Taylor Swift, Robin Thicke, and many more. Robin took the big stage with T.I. at the show, where Taylor also sang "I Knew You Were Trouble" in a pre-taped function. Drake was assumed to be in attendance but reportedly needed to miss the opportunity because of a arrangement scheduling discrepancy. Rihanna looked great in a dark blue suit jacket with matching stripped top underneath.

Jay Z easily led Grammy Award nominations announced Friday with nine, however left-of-centre rappers Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Kendrick Lamar were among several modern celebrities who took many of the significant nominations.

Macklemore and Lewis's gay marriage anthem "Same Love" was among song of the year nominees and the Seattle rap team joined Los Angeles rapper Lamar with seven nominations apiece, such as best album and best new artist of the year. Pharrell Williams had four major nominations among his seven and even Justin Timberlake also had seven.

Macklemore and Lewis dominated a nominations TV exclusive from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles that also incorporated shows by nominees Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lorde and Robin Thicke. They opened the exhibit with a brightly coloured, high-energy style of their hit "Thrift Shop," featuring Wanz, and then immediately picked up a tune of the year nomination for "Same Love."

We will be doing a write for the Grammy's in January so stay tuned.
